It’s evocative of the same study results we see over and over again. Women draw emotional support from multiple sources: Friends, parents, other family, coworkers, social groups, themselves, and their romantic partner. Men primarily draw emotional support from one source: Their romantic partner. So one person- most

What’s unfortunate is that Hill’s stated reason for making the documentary (to share the therapy tools he finds amazing with those who may not have access to therapy) is admirable and the tools listed in the doc are solid, but the total lack of boundaries in their relationship and with the documentary just makes the

And no legitimate therapist would have engaged at this level or inserted themselves into the public eye like this.

Anyone who watched the documentary Hill made about his therapist and his relationship with his therapist could have clocked this. That documentary is a big mess of boundaries. His therapist and him tell each other they love each other. He invites a documentary crew he’s directing into his therapy sessions. He explores

Because what’s at the root of all of this is men still thinking their happiness, completeness, satisfaction, and kindness rests in the hands of everyone else, mainly women, BUT them.

Agreed- we were a Grand Ole Opry family and Saturday night was regularly filled with Porter Waggoner gossip I didn’t place at the time. I had the fortune of seeing Dolly live a few years back and while everything she does has this sense of intimacy to it, this song just blew it out of the water to the point where the

I’d argue “I Will Always Love You” as performed by Dolly is iconic in its own right; it has an intimacy to it that the bravado of the Houston cover doesn’t match.’

I actually like it when a male artist doesn’t change the genders in a song he’s covering that was originally sung by a women. It displays a certain comfort with oneself.

I’d argue “I Will Always Love You” as performed by Dolly is iconic in its own right; it has an intimacy to it that the bravado of the Houston cover doesn’t match. That’s not to say the cover is less than the original, only that neither is “better” than the other.

I’m happy for Tracy to get such an honor. She deserves it.

Also “A House is Not a Home” as performed by Luther Vandross, and, *some* would say, Jeff Buckley’s version of “Hallelujah”—I certainly wouldn’t say that (because I bizarrely really like Leonard Cohen’s singing voice,) but some would.

“But that it arrived on Comb’s cowboy heels is just kind of a bleak dose of reality.”

Of course, cover songs can sometimes be better than the originals. See: All Along the Watchtower and I Will Always Love You.

I’m about to turn 35. Just the thought of doing 11 shots is enough to give me a hangover tomorrow.

That’s honestly the only explanation that makes sense to me. Narcan has no use other than reversing opioid overdoses. Great guess.

4th scenario.  she’s found unresponsive, she’s known to use drugs, they administer it just because “maybe” and then move on to figuring out what was actually the problem.

Is there any operational procedure that instructs Emergency Responders to administer NARCAN if the cause of being unconscious is unknown? If I recall correctly from opiate documentaries, NARCAN has no ill effects if the person isn’t unconscious due to overdose.

Seems plausible....god knows some of the painkillers out there seem to walk a very fine line of pain management and ‘Oopsie - holy shit, OD and death.’

I would guess that “I need a drip” would be a vitamin drip or whatever celebrities and rich people do instead of eat, or to supplement their diets. That could be wrong, but I’m not a professional interpreter of what people say online to be provocative.
