She was 18 when she met Manson, 20 years her senior. I don’t know about you, but I certainly didn’t have great ideas about what grown-up relationships should look like at 18 years old. And dark, brooding dudes seemed “romantic” instead of “a bunch of red flags held together by angst and eyeliner”.

What I find sad about this whole thing is that neither of those morons are going to let any of their kids get the therapy they’re so obviously going to need.  Those poor kids are so screwed.

So not to go completely off topic but... just love how in Claudia’s interview she points out how awful Katy Perry is as well.

Yup, the system is so merciful to addicted mothers who seek “help and assistance”. Can’t imagine why they wouldn’t take advantage of it.

Let’s not forget she’s also sued someone actually named Katy Perry to get them to not use the name, when *it’s not her own real name*.

Right fuckin on.

She also kicked off her career with some good old fashioned homophobia and has never apologized for it, but would be the first to claim allyship. And not just the dreck that is “I Kissed a Girl,” but also “Ur So Gay.” She’s always been terrible and the idea that Idol is tarnishing her legacy is laughable when she has

That’s how she was raised - a holy roller family. When she came out with “I Kissed a Girl” they lost their minds.  She’s been slowly rolling back to her roots.

Just a reminder to not do anything in front of your kids you don’t want replicated. Or in this case, the opposite.

Luckily, the Swiss Navy was on hand to rescue the beleaguered yachters.

From watching about an hour total spread across three or four seasons of these three judges, I can say that the contestants are way worse than before, the production value looks like a bad copy of Kazakhstan Idol, and Lionel Richie is a good dude who’s trying to be positive all around, Luke Bryan wishes he was Lionel

So what I'm reading is that Katy could have disappeared a long time ago if we just booed her in 2008...

In fairness, what else is she supposed to talk about? Do you expect her to have actual ideas about how to address the real problems her constituents face?

So the "bad edit" wasn't removing some exonerating piece of context but rather... just leaving her words in the final cut?

“Boo hoo, people are being mean to me after I made a series of controversial decision of my own volition...”

Co-Equal branches of the government. If Congress can investigate the president, it surely can investigate a member of the USSC.

If memory serves (and I’m no lawyer), our Constitution established the three branches of government as a method of checks and balances on each other. So, yes, that means that Congress or the Executive branch damn well CAN investigate a sitting Supreme Court Justice if they deem it necessary.

That interview in the Atlantic is terrible. There was another piece (same author?) trying to down play t he whole thing, like they’re really trying hard to make him out to be an “aw shucks” kinda guy. Like it never occurred to him that lavishing gifts onto a Supreme Court member (who failed to disclose said gifts) and
