Continued spoilers

On a relatively minor note, I love Lem's frustration that Shane left the drugs in the car for the sake of sex with a woman who's "not even that hot."  It's funny, of course, and while I actually love Shane despite his numerous and serious faults, I appreciate whenever someone on the show comments that he seems to do

I thought this (along with Paranormal Parentage) was one of the strongest of the season, and consistently polished, although I wish it hadn't backed away the way it did in the tag (though I can understand needing to tie up Chang's presence in City College at the end of last season).  But I liked Abed wheedling Jeff

I was spoiled for, I think, literally everything before I started watching, and while I can certainly appreciate not wanting to be spoiled—and would totally support the existence of a spoilers thread—I did like the effect of watching it knowing what was coming.  There are certainly early scenes that have this

I feel like the show keeps backing away from doing anything that might risk alienating viewers from Boyd's cause.  I mean, we love him (or I do, anyway) as a smart, charismatic criminal with a serious passion for his fiance but it seems like we're always backing away from him either doing anything too brutal or us

Now, be fair.  You never know when an above-average knowledge of women's tennis might come in handy.

One of the things I really love about the show is how these decisions create such huge ripple effects: I feel like the show, despite its violence, is really one of most astute at seeing how the consequences of this violence (or corruption more generally) can't be contained.  On The Shield, what you do isn't

It's also a nice touch that we see gradations of that with the other characters, as well.  We hear casual slurs sometimes from Vic (and we hear the Cinco de Mayo crack in the first episode). And then you've got Dutch, who later [VERY MINOR SPOILERS] has that extremely awkward first date with Claudette's (black)
