I’m sorry. In my family, a lot of people are doctors. And one had an injury that left her with chronic pain. She told me she looks at her patient differently now that she understand. Pain management is getting there, but a lot of non informed doctors just don’t get it.

Pray tell what is then? Opïods do work, even if you have to change the posology. I understand that non opïod drugs can be used for some chronic pain diseases, but not always. And the “toughen up” speech is pointless: pain is a huge factor of stress, and has a pointless impact on the quality of life. No need to suffer.
