It’s a classic oscar bait, unidimensional and all. Don’t loose your time on that, frankly. But Smith should have been nominated, as Erin Brockovich did, or the lame Imitation game last year.

I don’t know, bad German/fake nazi accent or ridiculous French is often xenophobic to me. But thanks, it made me feel uncomfortable, and I couldn’t put my finger on why. Also, The movie was bad and I don’t know why I’m discussing it here. I feel like I’ve been creeping around waiting for Smith to be discussed to…
Oh, totally, it’s a side point and the Smiths are right concerning the Oscars.
I still can’t get past the accent of Will Smith in Concussion... It’s sound damn wrong to me, at so many level.
Andy seems to be a genuinely good bloke... I’d be super disappointed if it was him.
I get it. I’m sure the industry should do more, knowing that England has never been white (that’s a fantasy, the colonial politics made the UK a diverse city early) and that movie about city life should be more diverse, to reflects the actual cities. I was just saying that there is a part that is true, and countries…
Well, there is, actually. A lot of “modern days” UK movies never made it outside the UK ( only 7 % of british movie make a profit), and most of the movies made in the UK and finding success abroad are royal-related biopics, historical pieces, gigantic studios movie (in which they could cast more POC, as everywhere)…
This is the only one, and even with Ophra mentionning it in a tweet, it didn’t do super well in the US...The movie maker is a super talented woman, so she will do future good stuff, I’m sure.
Yes to that. However, It’s also that few movies about “real world now” England” are able to have international success... This explain the string of period and very white dramas, as those are international hits ( this is the Downton-austenization of British cinema).
If you are good at aiming, a gun makes an excellent hammer or screwdriver.
Don’t do that to my poor heart!
This is fucking sad. And I don’t have an ounce of compassion for those fake doctors, playing with the hopes of frightened people.
Abandoning your children is really not ok in my book, while banging as many people you want is quite fun.
I feel like it’s exactly that. He even reused that sad jokes on Brangelina adopting kids of colour. It’s not that it is offensive, it’s just aimed at minority group and not powerful ( the opposite of his first routines), and it’s not new.
We said “rock “star.
Didn’t know that. And she is far from my favourite, she was Jez’s favourite before the Minajization.
Yes. I’m pretty sure the older kids really like their dads talking about how their newborns changed their life while their getting in and out of rehab themselves.
Yes. She is damn gorgeous in that one, and not tacky and all decked out as others ( who goes half naked to parties, seriously)?
Exactly! I dislike eye colors ( too Dynasty for me), but that is amazing. Also, her hairdo...
The advice is “Don’t marry a young rock star”. They apparently start being somehow faithful and willing to raise their kids around their fifties.
