Oh, good. I had a too close for my taste encounter with a snake, once, and with a possibly rabid rat. The second was worst, because rats do not fear humans in the area where I met the rat and I sincerely thought it would bite me and I couldn’t explain rabies in the local language.

Western Europe originally ( I lived a bit everywhere in that area). I have to admit that I have the impression that the US are more violent, according to the stories ( Rape by acquantances is not unknow, but I’ve never heard that many violent and perceived danger stries).
