That's what I've never understood though: why does natural selection keep selecting a trait that does nothing for the procreation and survival of a species. And why did it spend millions of years perfecting our reproductive organs, only to have them completely go to waste in homosexuals?

Wouldn't it have been easier and more conclusive to just take a DNA sample and find the "gay" gene in the test subjects?
