Yeah Honda and Toyota have the approach of “We build it you buy it,if you don’t like how we build it, we will sell that car anyway.” They don’t do “orders.”

The question is; if we as car buyers were to shift to a order-only (as in, not buy it off the lot) model, what would happen to costs? There has got to be massive overheads associated with keeping hundreds of cars on the lot.

Could be worse and have average speed cameras like France.

and most people would still dismiss it as “just a Kia.”

I personally disagree as far as enthusiasts go. If a car can make power, do skids, or be made to handle around a track people will put up with the badge. Enthusiasts that don’t drive their cars, but rather wash/wax and admire, well then the badge becomes a problem because it’s about the marque and aesthetics for them,

It’s slower than a 2013 Ford Focus ST on Willow Springs... So yeah “just a KIA” is kind of fitting.

They weren’t arrested for a crime.

It’s solely because there’s space to build it, unlike every other place that something like this would actually be useful.

I live in the area of the Volvo plant in SC.

Well, that’s the thing, isn’t it? If they want to create a Two Americas thing, not only economically, but also legally and practically, with different immigration rules, different levels of health care and birth control coverage, different levels of rights for women and LGBT folks and, God I hope, people of color,

Yawn. Guess state’s rights are only A Thing for states who take more from the public trough than they put in.

I’ve said it before, but they could put the drivetrain in the ILX and charge $38k, and sell an extra 5000 units.

The predatory, union busting dealerships that hired the scabs, yes, we definitely should fucking call them out. Especially that piece of shit shop that left their mechanic’s toolbox out in the rain. That is so mind-blowingly fucked up.

engineering explained is the same place that says you can determine how much air the engine is consuming by putting a balloon to the tail pipe, but completely omits the effects of internal combustion creating additional gasses.

This is an interesting idea that I shall take under careful consideration. :)

Better tip: Buy AIG in 2008 when you realize its $.33 and that all federal pensions are held there. Guess what, it’s not going to collapse.

Anything is way better than Subway but Jimmy John’s can’t (WON’T) toast their bread or meat, so I refuse to eat there. Which Wich isn’t much better. I’ll throw in with the Firehouse crowd just because of their meatball subs, but give me Larry’s Giant Subs over anything else!

Because it’s usually 2 to 3 dollars cheaper, better to use a spatuala instead than out of a gross squeeze bottle and sometimes a nice cold sub is best. Don’t get me wrong I do like warm sandwhichs but sometimes you just want cold cuts on a hot summer day. For hot sandwhichs though you gotta go to Firehouse Subs. They

Cinema sins used to be good, they used to point out funny continuity errors or plot holes, now its just silly crap that mostly is either overly picky or just a flat out misunderstanding of how things work. Its like trying to watch a movie with a 14 year old who thinks all the stuff is dumb and he could do it better.

Don’t trust urbandictionary. There’s no vetting for submissions and no requirement to provide evidence of the use of spellings or definitions. It’s often used as a way for tiny groups to fool people into thinking an in-joke is an actual thing.
