No, I definitely see those tweets too...oh god do I... But like I said in my first post, it’s not like CDPR is telling them to be shitty... They’re just being shitty because that’s their nature. 😑

The article says it “doesn’t come with any warning at the beginning.” What you’ve posted is from the EULA. I trust you to understand the difference.

The twitter and the facebook comments for this very article, are already in that direction.  And ethan you may want to add that the eplilepsy warning is buried in the EULA that basically no one reads. People are pointing that out, but  I think epliepsy warnings shouldn’t be buried in EULA’s.

It’s worth mentioning that the mechanic that can potentially induce a seizure is specifically based off a diagnostic tool meant to cause seizures. You also cannot avoid this mechanic; it’s required to complete the game.

Stay classy CDPR fans

Putting a pin here so I can come back later to see how having a seizure is unfair criticism of the christ-game that is beyond reproach

actually, there is an incentive. repeat business. a legitimate customer who got a console will return to said business again in the future for other purchases. a scalper deprives the business of this business relation. they sold a product but they lost a chance at creating a business relation with a customer. so, yes.

CDPR made the choice to foreground trans and gender-nonconforming people in their marketing for this game, and they also chose to make those depictions dismissive, fetishizing, or otherwise shitty. Trans critics are going to bring that into the review and it’s entirely justified, especially because for a lot of

People can’t be ambivalent?  A work of fiction can’t be diverse yet still chock full of stereotypes?  Something can’t look great on paper but strikes one with an opposing feeling when actually experienced?

If you want your reviewers to clap like a seal because the game looks and feels expensive, IGN.com is right there.

I 100% expect this game to be a massive disappointment for all but the most ardently in denial of fanboys. The studio is competent enough that it’s not going to be “bad”, but forgettable and “mixed” are exactly where I expect this to fall. The hype for this game is just Too Much™ and it seems based 100% on the idea

As a veteran, I find this to be accurate.

This is weird. On one hand I do find modern cancel culture to be excessive and overreactive. And on the other hand racist jokes are shitty and unnecessary. But on the third unexpected why the fuck do I have three hands hand, who the dick wrote that line and thought “huh huh...I made a funny”?

It literally caused the Sonic movie...”

Yeah, that’s a phenomenally stupid line. Of course, “ban the movie” and “review-bomb the related game” are also phenomenally stupid.

Then think about why do we use “blind” to refer to people who go into something not knowing anything, and then turn to use to refer them to blind people, who do not live in partial ignorance because of their conditi0n?

It costs me nothing to change my word usage. If it also makes some people feel less ‘othered’, I don’t see any compelling reason not to make the change. Words change, language evolves, there will never be a shortage of alternatives to use.

What dialect of English do you speak, where the most important definition of blind is something other than unable to see because of disease or injury?" Sounds fascinating!

Jezz what a lazy list.... Why not add I don’t know pictures of each one... A one sentence statement about why they are placed at a certain number... Why is this article so damn lazy.

So the thing about mocking flat earthers. I was watching a couple of clips from the web show “All Gas and No Brakes”, where the host goes into all sorts of esoteric groups and interviews the members.
