This is the part that concerns me more than anything else in this whole mess. Fake News is just the best example amongst many.

Not to do some kicking while you’re down, because I’m right there with you, but this sort of thing is hugely distressing because while a lot of the social progress that they’re busy reversing might only take a generation or two to fix, the damage they want to do to the environment is pretty much irreversible.

I reckon we should vote for people to the right of them who are also financially supported by the same people as the ones supporting the people we want to get rid of. I’m certain that will solve the problem, this time.

Russian politics seems a bit different to most places. If you watch Russia Today they aren’t even slightly subtle about the fact that they’re lying. I’m not sure that’s true. There are gigantic divides on the right, most dramatically between the moral and fiscal conservatives, who have opposing goals.

It’s the principle of not being given special treatment. He is simply standing up for all of the people who are special and deserve to be treated that way. Which is to say wealthy.

Sort of, but it means you understand what it’s like, rather than how it occurs or how to combat it. For example I pay taxes, but that doesn’t qualify me for any kind of financial position that involves their management or collection. I eat food but it doesn’t follow that I could be a chef.

Right, but where would those grievances go? They’re not going to suddenly run to the left, no, they’ll go further right. They’ll fight the republican party by voting in republicans. It’s what they’ve been doing for decades.
