@brother.shrike: if you are referring to that horrid practice of using way too much water and straining the excess when the rice goes soft, I say be gone Satan!

@Brian Lam: I didn't know that surfing and consumption of rice correlated. You cant possibly mean that surfers use towel warmers? I mean, surfing is about adventure without regard for comfort and comfy warm towel goodness just doesn't fit.

@citizen.lambda: No Watts is correct. Watt is a measure of Power (energy per unit time). The term you are thinking of is Watt hours (or more commonly kW.hrs)

@loosejello: naturally. Not that I expect the time it takes for one of these 'chains' to break due to fatigue to be anything like infinity. It may be more than a million cycles, it may be less. But it will happen.

@jacqueman: Metal fatigue laughs at your tensile strength: "Sooner or later I shall win Brruha ha ha ha"

@RtFusion: OK. I guess I do have a problem. *sigh* know any good therapists?

@RtFusion: Nice thought. Except this one, which looks rather too much like a penis for my taste. Sorry had to be said.

@SSgtTEX: I think if I had a garage it would be full of crap and maybe a few gems that I've otherwise been forced to get rid of. So I'm in two minds. I probably wouldnt have sold the A500; but those magazines would never have been recycled.

Astronomy or Austrology?

@frxnz: I expect the most negative views come from those that are or were unable to leave due to economics and/or not being old enough.

Firstly der its the structure of the bubbles; secondly, why question Ninkasi's gift?

@frxnz: It's the suburbs. You either find them comforting and progressive; or confining and oppressive.

The first dozen or so comments were all goodness. But there is such a thing as too much goodness. Instead of a conversation in a quiet cafe it soon devolved into a crowded bar of people shouting for the bartender to serve them a star.

@DDigital: I'm sure one day we'll discover the means to practical interstellar travel; and

I hadn't heard of Scientometrics before. Now I have both heard of and dismissed it all within 10 minutes.

@Dr. What?: @Kamenwati: how about we just say that Humans have been unthinkingly killing off species since we climbed down out of the trees and call it a truce?

@jeffery: I saw the remains of a Ute that had an encounter with a wombat once. The unfortunate beast walked away (it probably died, but we'll never know). The Ute on the other hand had to be towed and wasn't worth the cost of repairing.

How about

@James: Hope is not a strategy.
