@jedimario: There are definitely albums where the artist(s) have designed a progression of pieces that make listening to the whole in sequence much more enjoyable. Unfortunately few modern albums are more than a collection of whatever was available at the time.
Over the history of recording, the first 50 years was dominated by albums with a only few tracks. The technology wasnt there for longer recordings. Then over the last half of last century the technology was there and longer albums become more popular. Now over the last 10 years we're back to singles.

Oh, the planet will win one day. It always does. If it doesnt suck some asteroid down into the gravity well, it will just give up trying to maintain the CO2 balance and on that day we are toast.
