Why does anyone care what the BBB thinks?

Do you watch violent movies or play violent games? Why is it OK to slaughter people in those but something like this gets questioned?

It's OK. No real people died when this one sank.

They're multibillion dollar corporations. It's an obscure game from the early 2k's and NOT a big name franchise. It's a question of weighing the potential profit vs the cost of digging up those files. Even if they're only paying someone minimum wage that adds up. Again-they offered the dev team a choice. Pay us up

They're not going to waive their rights. Why would they do that? Those assets are money in the bank even if they sit on the IP. It's all part of their net worth. If they all found the rights (which won't happen without money up front from the devs) a licensing deal might be worked out but none of this matters since

The problem isn't who owns the trademark. The problem is proving who owns the IP rights. The ownership forms stating who the owners are don't exist in digital form. They're on paper in a file cabinet somewhere and none of the corporations involved seem to think it worth paying someone to dig them up.

You missed the point of the article. They're not talking about all guys who are just the ones who go around making a big deal out of it. It's one thing to say 'oh, I'm a feminist, too' when it comes up but to go around bringing it up out of the blue or megaphoning it to every female in site is a bit questionable.

I will never not find that adorable.

That is a fantastic photo of a fantastic photo.

I was there last night. I wrote this in honor of a fellow bard.

I didn't know you had to be a certain gender to drink a certain kind of beer.

This made my week, too. :)

I think fantasy escapism is fine it's when it contributes more harmful things than helpful that it becomes problematic.

To be honest I realized later on that I of all people should be the last person stereotyping an entire group of creatures.

I totally agree. I think raising awareness can't hurt though. The point is to get more people to care about presenting characters in the right context. There's a big difference between creating well written characters who happen to be sexy, and creating characters who exist purely to titillate.

I agree. Thank you for your response. Upon reading your previous comments I agree that I make a ton of assumptions, and missed the point of what you were saying. I apologize, and promise to do my best to be better about that sort of thing in the future.

You're an actual dinosaur, huh?

It took a few decades but seeing that as a .gif was worth it. Thanks. That was perfect.
