Brave, but dumb. If his mother had been in danger then what he did would have nearly no chance of helping her. Really all he did was endanger himself for little reason. They are going to claim that the video was illegally obtained (and may have a case for it given that there is some evidence that the cops may have lied on the affidavit for the sneak and peak warrant) - and if so the video evidence would not be usable at trial - and without that they pretty much don’t have a case.

Did you bother to read any of the opinions? I personally disagree with the dissenters, but I do not see their arguments as unreasonable.
