Are Toyota and Lexus just trying to make some of the fugliest cars known to man just to see if people will buy them?

Would you rather an entire blog devoted to lamenting how things aren’t the same as they used to be?
There is no excuse for how bad that looks. Hell Toyota figured out how to make a Prius look great. Come on VW, get it together.
If these guys took care off the environment they lived in, then this probably wouldn’t have happened.
Did you buy a large vehicle and make a public park your home? Will you help take care of said park? Come at me, but make it make sense
“He made his way down from Washington for the warmer weather of Southern California.”
So this thing gets 20 mpg on average after an EPA estimated 22 mile battery range (18.7 miles in actual testing). That is worse overall mpg than most of the other non-hybrid Wranglers. I guess if your commute is short and you want to commute in a Wrangler it might make some sense (!). As a hybrid, I don’t get it.
They jacked up MSRP to catch up to actual sales prices.
Or the profits the tow company made either
This doesn’t sound like a win. The settlement sounds like bs that doesn’t reflect the replacement value of the vehicles or the personal items inside.
That happened because the car was running on 9 year old tires. It had nothing to do with the suspension.
There is a 1-in-2 chance that Rodas’ 2005 Carrera GT would have been affected by that recall if it hadn’t crashed in 2013 while doing 90mph in a 45mph-zone.
Really unfortunate news for the guy who just needs his Carrera GT to get to work and doesn’t have a backup vehicle.
TH made a very good point. This is what happens when BMW wants to make a X8 M70e and the marketing department is like “we have a ‘better’ idea”. It’s slower, more expensive, has less interior space, looks worse, has a worse stereo, etc. than an X5/6 Comp. It’s completely pointless and not in a good way. You could buy…
it’s Literally Lipstick on a Pig. There is no way that’s not intentional. BMW is mocking their customers unreal!
I owned a 2002 Prius and then a 2011 Volt. I got VERY good at feathering the engine, coasting when slowing down and coming to stop lights, etc etc. In the end? It just wasn’t all that fun. Granted this was when I was commuting to work, which wasn’t fun anyway. Still own a 4 banger taco which gets 26MPG which is fine:…
Obviously the guy is lying. What I’m more confused by is how a near-stock Supra won anything? Don’t know how the Texas Mile works, but it’s either straight-up top speed, or classed, and either way, I just don’t see the Supra beating out all its competitors. It’s fast, but 160 mph (in context here) is not that fast.
It’s not that weird! It looks very Porsche or even Audi like.
