I agree that it's poorly written. The real question is why the difference is happening — is it because women aren't getting good enough health care, or because men are starting to do some of the healthier things women already do (such as see a doctor when they have a problem). Of course, the real troubling question is

According to this article, women outlive men by an average of five years. Meanwhile, men's lifespans have increased 4.6 years since 1989, while women have gained "only" 2.7 years — something National Geographic calls "a troubling trend."

From the comments on this post, it's clear that a lot of folks are messy and discourteous, but also that New York City office buildings are full of INSANE LUNATICS who get their jollies spreading pee and excrement everywhere.

It isn't possible — you can't sleep indoors for a single night for $10. And it's that sort of "fact" that makes her entire story suspect.

A few years ago, casual clothing companies started using photos of wrinkled clothes in their ads. I think the first one was Old Navy, but now they're all doing it — even some department stores. And now you see wrinkly clothes on the models, too. Corporate America wants us all to stop ironing!
