Why do people care so much about preordering games? It's basically free - 5 dollars (Or however many you paid for the preorder) gets taken off the price when you pick it up.

No, I'm not stupid, are you? If you watch the video they are offline. This hack wouldn't work online. If you reread my comment I specifically mentioned the firmware hacks for the 3DS, which you cannot connect to the internet for. They could not patch it out at all, unless the console connected to the internet.

With what they are doing, it cannot be patched.
