If you think Harry Potter is “lol old people” you are quite out of touch with the kids.

I don’t think moving them to the main games is really a factor. It’s more that the gameplay works for Pokemon (catching Pokemon) and not Harry Potter (why am I catching Hagrid and Luna Lovegood for stickers in a stickerbook?).

As someone who played the heck out of it for a few months when it came out - it really didn’t make sense. Why am I “capturing” Hagrid and Luna to fill out a sticker book? That kind of gameplay was a perfect fit for Pokemon. Not for HP.
