I call bollocks to this as with most iPhone rumors. I can see Apple doing a 4in screen yet keeping the same aspect ratio though. Their apps are really what make the platform so attractive at this point. I don't think they want to pull an android and fragment their app development like that.

because then you dont need to release 99 different phones a year like all android manufacturers and oversaturate and fragment your developers/apps.

People cling to notions because its their preference. I love my 55in 16:9 plasma but when I look at my 16:9 android tablet and 4:3 iPad? I love the form factor of the iPad for everything I want to do on a tablet. The problem is choice, not what you think is better or not.
