UHD Blu-rays are pretty small niche. Blu-ray never really succeeded the way DVD did. DVDs are actually still the biggest percentage of physical media still, and it’s not even close. And at the height of the Wii that likely would have been an even bigger marketshare.

The huge “everyone has amnesia except for one guy who didn’t tell anyone” plot point always bothers me. Amnesia is a lazy story device most of the time, but it’s pretty bad here in particular.

Where do you think you’re going with this argument? Should any shitty behavior just be tolerated so long as it makes money for charity?

Ever heard of sponsors pulling out of an event because of the views of people participating in it?

I think once all the major accomplishments are met people are going to hit that wall where they wonder why they’re bothering. Even before Classic servers, when they rolled out new shards, players would descend upon them to reroll, and rush to the cap to to hit all the realm firsts that they could.

I love the idea of invoking “every other kid has a phone, use theirs” and “there’s no reason for your kid to have one” in the same argument.

It’s probably not intended for you to do everything the first time you play the game (and it specifically gets easier on successive playthroughs thanks to New Game Plus), but it IS possible to max them all out in one go.

Both Persona 3 FES and Persona 4 Golden add more time to allow you to do the additional content, so this isn’t really that much different. Both added additional activities at night that weren’t available previously too, if I remember correctly. So this isn’t anything they haven’t done before.

Three had the best customization thanks to Create-A-Style. You could apply textures to alpha masked regions, which meant a lot more variety in just about any object it let you work with. You also had color sliders, which I miss dearly when dealing with Maxis’ infuriating inability to stay consistent with color schemes.

Yamete kudasai is literally “stop, please.”

Not sure what you mean by character skins, but there’s no shortage of fans making their own version of characters from other properties.

Why are Democrats so sure that there’s a sizeable group of Republicans who aren’t going to vote anyway? Republicans already have an advantage with more consistent voters. Who is this secret contingent of people who couldn’t be bothered to vote for Trump unless he gets impeached?

It depends. I think if legacy media doesn’t have some sort of preservation effort available already it wasn’t exactly likely even if there wasn’t a trend away from physical media.

> And because they’re also moving to kill physical media, piracy will be a lot harder too.

That’s an incredibly silly opinion to have. There’s no shortage of people willing to promote products they like and put down ones they don’t for free.

I was in Japan when it came out and it was interesting to note the advertising had almost nothing to do with him.

Persona is a bigger game by file size. Even the Special Edition of Skyrim on PC is only like 13gb.

I think meeting the PS3's requirements would be doable but it’d still be a step down from the PS4 version.

Golden had the benefit of being released to a system powerful enough to do an enhanced port, while they’d have been cutting assets down to size to fit the original P5 onto a Switch cartridge as is.

More compelling in what way? I get that Switch owners don’t want to buy a PS4 too if they don’t already have one, but a port to the Switch would have been worse than the PS4 version.
