They were decent Diablo clones, but Interplay’s shifting their CRPG IPs to consoles definitely didn’t do them any favors. Diablo clones don’t really need to draw from those IPs anyway; the strongest entries generally haven’t been great on narratives to begin with (Diablo included.)

Depending on what you’re interested in there’s a pretty regular selection of new titles. It’s lost most Western developer support, but there’s still quite a few games to choose from.

Similar arguments apply to digital games though. I can buy digital copies of games long out of print and with incredibly high market values (like say Earthbound or Suikoden.)

Limited print runs of these games don’t let you do half those things though. You’re not renting one of these, you won’t have the opportunity to buy them again later.
