A lot of headphone and earbuds have iOS compatible remotes on them. I have the Klipsch Image s4i earbuds with an iOS remote on them and they are a hundred times more comfortable and better sounding than Apple's earbuds.

I think it's just that it's an iPod Touch. If you look closely, you can see that the screen DOES turn on, it's just not as bright.

Well, for what it's worth, the "fake" 3D tacked on to IM3 and ST:Into Darkness in IMAX were both very good. Star Trek in particular was the most I've ever seen people actually jump in their seats at a screening.
