Not a supercar OR a flop. Maybe you don’t like ‘em but it seems like plenty of people are buying them and driving them and like them.

I’ve always just thought it looks like the car that Ace and Gary drive in the Ambiguously Gay Duo cartoons.
These were terrible. I was exposed to several as part of a development project.
But I mean... if the only people buying them ARE Japanese, it’s pretty safe to assume that Japanese is their primary language.
“I like my steaks GREY and SOFT on the surface!”
That’s awesome. I always wanted to find a V10 to nurse back to health. I finally parted ways with my 2004 V8 last year when we picked up a 2013 X5M... which has already given me more problems than the Touareg did. It was a terrific beast of a vehicle, my dad bought it new (first model-year VW land yacht was WAY out…
I see why you’re confused.
In the fine tradition of Danish Calypso songcraft, obviously.
I firmly believe that anyone who clicks on an article, reads the whole thing, and then works their way into the comments section has already forfeited their right to say “who cares?” about the topic at hand.

The VQ along with most Nissan engines I’ve experienced just doesn’t feel like it WANTS to rev up. Even if it gets the car moving quickly the perception of an engine that enjoys its job just never seems to be there for me.
What’s the point of talking shit on the internet if your facts are good?!
Well it’s not our fault that Nissan is still putting a 10 year old pickup engine in a sports car.
Thank goodness people have been tuning this family of engines on BMWs for YEARS now, and they’ve become exceedingly good at it.
I think part of it is putting up a published number that feels competitive for its class but performance that exceeds the competition, and another part is that modern engines, especially with forced induction in the mix, are highly adaptive to circumstance, and they may be producing an engine that will make claimed…
There’s an Uncle Rico for every hobby, I guess.
I see what you’re feeling here, but the word you’re looking for is “private.”
I actually do have an X5M currently (E70) and it honestly hasn’t had any truly painful catastrophic issues but it’s had enough little annoying ones (cracking PCV hoses and constantly leaking coolant hoses all packaged right by the scorching hot turbos) that I don’t feel confident in it most of the time, so I TOTALLY un…
You gotta get that X5M to use as a tow rig, that way you don’t have to say a word.
