As someone who would have an issue with it no matter who did it, I heavily disagree. It was a poor move from both a human and a political standpoint.

This would be jumping the shark for sure....

C’mon man, you have to own your comedy. “Jaropnik” was worthy of a star but the backpedaling just ruined it...

This was funny, but when I saw the title on Twitter it really god my hopes up that he had been fired.

Now if there was only some sort of government standard to get morons to turn OFF the DRLs and turn ON the head and tail lights when its dark, rainy, foggy or snowing out......

Unless I grossly misunderstand the situation, the vehicle is perfectly legal to drive. You don’t have to turn it in. This agreement is not because the vehicle is suddenly illegal but that VW lied to people buying them so is forced to buy them back if the customer wants to give it back. I don’t recall ever seeing it

Which makes it illegal. The courts only enforce laws.

That’s the wrong question to ask. The real question is why did the first one take so long, and the answer is because Lucas wanted to easter egg it in the prequels.

People seem not to realize that that’s a risk with warranties. It’s an obligation solely of the company that produced the product, and if that company goes out of business, the obligation ends. No one else is required to assume it.

Perhaps they’re not buying Pebble itself as such, but rather its IP, and taking on certain staff. Pebble the company seems to be getting dismantled and shuttered, hence the no warranties situation.

FitBit didn’t buy the company. It bought some company assets. Why are people so pissed at FitBit?

This confirms Jalopnik staff can always find something to whine about.

If you are already paying more in taxes than you are receiving in benefits, UBI will not work well for you.

Hillary is way more of a mainstream republican than trump ever was

The numbers you’re quoting aren’t votes — they’re based on turnout. So far 7,000 more Democrats than Republicans have turned out to vote. The votes haven’t been counted yet. If significant numbers of Independents and/or Republicans are voting for Clinton, the margin will be much higher than 7,000.

You’re mistaking the 2016 republican party with the Eisenhower era GOP. Trump is the personification of today’s republican party, and there’s no way Hillary can fairly be included as being a mainstream republican any more.

“A solid portion of Democrats have committed to vote against Hillary as well.”

I disagree that any sizable percent of Dems are voting against Hillary.

I fee like people are completely ignoring the fact that their is a solid portion of his own party that has committed to vote against him. It’s not just columnists, look at the counties surrounding Philly. It’s hard enough to win a republican with 100% of your own part voting for you.
