“freeway is only used out west, we call it highway out east”
I worked at a civic center in college, where I did load in/out for concerts and shows. The biggest shows we had were probably 10 trucks and we would start unloading before the ass crack of dawn, finishing with just enough time for soundcheck before ingress. I couldn’t imagine having to do 80 trucks.
There used to be a bakery near where I grew up whose motto was "life is uncertain, eat dessert first."
If I wait until November or December to clean my gutters, anything that was wet would be frozen in place until spring. Best time to clean gutters is right after your trees finish dropping their leaves.
I volunteered for a seasonal nonprofit, and at our last night, we had a potluck. Somebody showed up with a suitcase of White Castle sliders, and it was the greatest thing I have ever seen t a potluck. Highly recommended.
Clear off your entire car for the sake of anyone driving behind you.
If the truck driver isn't going to stop for a car stuck under his trailer, is he going to stop for someone trying to warn him about a car stuck under his trailer?
And now I want to know if the actual truck, if/when it exists, will whistle when it goes down the road.
I live on the fringe of a metro area in the upper Midwest. I don't feel sorry for them, because every time gas prices drop for more than a few months, they celebrate by going out and buying a bigger truck and/or more gas powered toys, then get mad and complain that they can't afford gas when the prices go back up.…

McDonald's fajitas
I remember coming home from school in grade school and telling my parents over dinner that too much salt was bad, and they actually listened and started using less salt. Same when I told them that they were wasting water by leaving the faucet on while they brushed their teeth. The key is to have it told to them by a…
2008 Pontiac G6 with almost 200,000 miles, very little rust, otherwise looks pretty good. KBB trade in value estimated at $800, a dealership offered me $150 as a trade in saying they would be losing money on it because it would probably go to the scrapyard. I figure I could probably sell it to a high school or college…
Because now I have to find somewhere to store the fixture, and have to worry about the maintenance guy noticing the new light fixture when he comes to fix the stove for the 12th time.
I came very close to buying a transit bus from a state auction a few weeks ago, with the plan of turning it into an RV. I still might go for one the next time they auction them off.
Also turn on two factor authentication
My uncle tried to ruin Thanksgiving one year by stuffing the bird, and then deep frying it. The inside of the bird never got done, so he ended up cutting the breasts off, throwing them in the fryer, and ditching the rest of the bird.
