They've aged much, much more than the TOS cast had. There's only ten years between the end of TOS (1969) and The Motion Picture (1979). DS9 went off the air in 1999, 17 years ago.

They do have the obvious hook of Sisko returning from his Emissary work to Kasidy and their child, like he promised he was gonna do at the end of the series.

Nope, that's not the Malcolm McDowell one. Generations is.

That said, I think he's terrific.

It is weird that they cast him for that role when Taxi had just ended (it had been off the air for a year when Search for Spock) and he was essentially only known as Reverend Jim, a thoroughly comic character.

I like Hoshi. She's the only one who seems excited (or scared) to be exploring space. Everyone else just seems like Starfleet business as usual.

I like Charles Esten's wig in that one though.

I like the idea that Quinto Spock calls Nimoy Spock every single day asking "Did you know this guy? Did you do this thing?"

What's impressive about Beyond is how much more it feels like a direct sequel to the 2009 movie than Into Darkness did - it follows up on Kirk's established arc rather than fake-killing him, it lets Spock deal with the destruction of Vulcan a little bit, and it shows them actually exploring space in the Enterprise

That's an excellent point. I had forgotten about that.

Coming to America was good though. Let's talk about that.

Harry/Luna is the only couple I've ever shipped in anything ever. It just seemed like that was the reason she was introduced - to be the oddball girl with a tragic past who Harry ends up with.

I bet it's Alice, the mediocre Woody Allen movie, since they're adding a ton of his movies.

That 70s Show was pleasant.

Yeah, I really don't get all of the love for it. It's certainly the best part of Torchwood, but I don't think the ending works at all.

I'm hardly Chibnall's #1 fan, but I really don't think the script is the problem with "Cyberwoman." It's the ridiculous sexed-up design that sinks it. If you told that exact same story with a woman who basically looked like a regular Cyberman, it would be pretty decent.

See, I think "Countrycide" is much, much worse. That's Chibnall's biggest Torchwood-related crime.

Upvoted for including all three Mr. Jenkinses.

I'd love to hear why you think so, because 1) I respect your opinion, but 2) I just read it for the first time and I was really disappointed.
