See, I didn't even know it was a secret, because that "Did you get him to come?" ad was the only one I saw.

My pick is "Danville For Niceness" from the first Christmas episode.
For sure. I love that use of "Hungry Heart."
Hey now - Garfield was only 28 when the first one came out. So that's more reasonable, right?
I'm certainly not! I like 50/50 and Warm Bodies a lot. The Wackness isn't great, but even that has some interesting things in it (mostly Olivia Thirlby's character).
A month or so ago, I threw all of my Cosby records in the garbage. I came across them while looking through my LPs, and I just needed to get them out of my house. I know that sounds a bit overblown, but everything about seeing him is sad now, because he's a repulsive monster.
I don't make puppets, but I am a diehard Muppet fan with a bunch of t-shirts and action figures and so on. It's a lot like being a diehard fan of anything else - in this case, it's all about appreciating the puppetry and the comedy. Those are both great things.
We don't actually know exactly what their new license covers - first they announced the UNIT range, and now Torchwood. It's certainly not a lock that they have the rights for the new series, but it's *possible* that they're building up to that reveal.
While C'rizz continues to be a terrible character, I really like "Faith Stealers." It's genuinely funny, in a way that very few 8th Doctor stories are. I laughed out loud a whole bunch.
Neat!
Sounds like everything's coming up videos in your house!
Nope. Just three more and then they're done. That'll be about half of them.
Incidentally, which three are your all-time classic Baker stories? I assume "Jubilee" is probably one of them?
Iain Glen in "Time of Angels/Flesh & Stone" is always the first one to come to my mind.
It's been so much fun reading these articles. Every time I watch a classic serial, I check to see if Christopher reviewed it. It's always exciting to see that he did.
That was the main thing I liked about "Dinosaurs" - it's the first time that we've really gotten any indication of how Silurian society functioned (as opposed to just "They were here before humans" - we see that they had space travel and herded dinosaurs). Like you say, it wasn't much of a hint, but I think it could…
Oh, and also, about C'rizz leaving no impact - the fact that they had to fridge his girlfriend to give him something to struggle over every single story is evidence of how little there is to him as a character. A shape-shifting alien with an exoskeleton should be one of the best Doctor Who companions ever (albeit a…
Yeah, I can't argue with that. There's one more that I really love - we can discuss it when you get there, I guess - but the "no time" concept never adheres at all. Every story has a different idea of what that means.
Isn't TV Club Classic in general being phased out?
(My apologies for the late comment. I haven't been checking the AV Club much lately, so I didn't realize this review had gone up.)
