I could see that. "Kromon" is certainly full of not-time-but-actually-time stuff.
See, on most shows I agree that would be terrible. But on Doctor Who I like it. In theory the show could run forever, and I think it's a good idea to keep the show's present-day Earth relatively close to our own.
That "Hunters" comic sounds awesome. I'll have to check it out!
I was about to say that I'll take "Stones of Venice" over "Minuet in Hell" just because "Minuet" is so thoroughly unpleasant. But then I realized that it's only been a couple of months since I heard them and I remember a whole lot more about "Minuet." Like you say, it's batshit, but at least it's memorably so.
I think we need 26 seasons of modern Who before we can really judge. Or at least 155 distinct stories (we're at 85 now). There's still just so much more classic Who in general, accompanied by a decrease in money/care put into it. The modern series hasn't had time to get as bad as, say, "Trial of a Timelord."
Yes, what NathanFordsEvilTwin said. It's not the sex, it's every other moment of her life. She just sits around in his bedroom all day, unable to move except if he carries her, and that's the happy ending. Hooray!
One thing neither you nor Christopher mention about Three/Jo that I think is significant -
The tomboy's name was Alexandra, but she went by "Al."
Ooh, I like the idea of Emilie de Ravin as Sue. A lot.
Spoiler: Pa Kent sacrifices himself for his belief that Clark should never use his powers to help anyone.
And Best Friends Forever, which I liked more than Bent.
She's a very attractive young lady, to be sure.
I haven't heard Dark Eyes yet at all, but I'd recommend the Main Range. It's always fun to have more people to discuss those with.
Oh my goodness, I love your comments about how Charley's words affected the romantic relationships of the later Doctors. Obviously that wasn't intended, but it works remarkably well. Bravo on putting something in my head-canon that will probably stay there forever.
The Terry Gilliam, if you will.
I watched it after the fact too (2012, I think) and I loved it.
Oh man, I adore Mission Hill. Mostly because it's a show about what would have happened if my older brother and I had been roommates in 2002.
There have been 26 seasons of Survivor?!
Heck, that one time she told Nick to suck a dick.
