While today's cars have progressed in capability & safety, today's drivers have not.

She weighs 150 kilograms and fires $200 custom-tooled cartridges at 10,000 rounds per minute. It cost $400,000 to fire this weapon for 12 seconds.

By far my favorite column of the week, every week. Great work Albert.

Does it really matter? Why should a manufacturer of ANY product be forced to use a third-party to get their goods to consumers? Seems unjust to me. If Musk wants to set up his own line of retail outlets with all the associated costs and risks, he should be free to do so.

This is my 1995 Mazda MX-3, I call it Froggie. I bought it for $1800 about 2 years ago. The clear coat was gone, so I had to sand everything down. I primed it and spray painted it in a paint booth for about $100. I know it is not much to look at, but the paint is still on there after 2 years. So I am very happy

It's funny, I work for a city in capital projects, and infrastructure expansion-renewal and inspection, there are a lot people out there that have no idea what a public right-of-way is (like this old timer) and that just because there is grass between your house and the curb, they don't own it all. The pose is also really awkward, and exists solely to show off

Am I the only one weirded out slightly by those character designs? I know it's supposed to be stylized, but still..

Lol. Kinda missed that one, eh champ?

I guess for proper contrast I'd have to invest in a pair of red pants.

If my cookout is going to be disrupted, this is how I want it done.

Star Car from the The Last Starfighter. Also seen in Back to the Future II!

Thisssss will do nicely.

THIS IS AMAZING!!!!!!

How about instead of mandating people stop being distracted we start working more towards the inevitable autonomous vehicle that will at the least free us from being dangerous on the interstate. I love the act of driving at least as much as you, but I know this is something we need for true progress. It's coming and I
