The GTA games stories usually follow with an idea and take on the current socioeconomical and political landscape, and things have changed a lot since GTA5's release - which is why I imagine why we have a poc female protagonist now. I admit, things will be interesting when it comes to comedy.

I’m surprised they’re still having a single player mode at all, after having absolutely zero additional content for the single player in GTA5 after 9 years

I never wrote anything on Mike’s tribute because I felt anything would be inadequate; the best comment was that his writing and enthusiasm was so genuine it made topics that weren’t interesting interesting (IDGAF about food but would eagerly read every Snacktaku).

I would say they definitely tried with Arms. Developed by their primary studio, AAA quality, well advertised, and has iconic characters and design. I feel like we might look back on Arms for the switch the same way we do Pikmin for the Gamecube in time, but that will probably depend on whether there end up being sequel…

I think ARMS was supposed to be this generation’s new IP.  It has a lot of the feel of Splatoon, in that it’s an oddball competitive game with likeable, personality driven characters.  It just didn’t catch on at all.

I don’t know, I’m still excited about games and... gamey things, just not the ones that typically involve a Keighley shilling them on a big stage. I freaked out at them remaking Live a Live, which seems like the most random way for a bunch of people to spend months if not years. And I do like me a visual showcase…

Cetitan is just a portmanteau of cetacean (whales) and titan so it’s not far off.

Is it weird to be... kinda excited for a Pokemon release for the first time in years? There’s the possibility of a novel time-travel plot thread and the open-world structure just might make exploration in a mainline entry actually interesting again.
