I do think the part with the red light / green light just as the car passes / is stupid.

I think I'd rather just sleep.

I think this is one area where the U.S. holds a distinct advantage for years to come (over China, anyways). The Chinese can manufacture just about anything — and usually for a lot less than stateside, but their creativity is notably lacking. I went to school with a lot of mainland Chinese students — an ingenious,

This is nice looking. Other than it being a coupe, I can't tell you what's different between the ILX and this (never had enough interest in the ILX to pay attention to it), but this is attractive.

Meh.

I think the non-integrated units look horrible as well. Functionally, they may serve the part of being replaceable / upgradeable / serviceable part on the cheap, but still, they look horrible. If they're installed by a simple mount, I've got to think they'd be a target for thieves.

It's amazing to think that I once really liked Honda's & Acura's.

Toooooooooooooooooooooo busy.

Is that a push-up bra over the speedo / tach?

Currently own an Infiniti that has been a great car. Need a vehicle of this capacity due to family size. Functionally, this thing fits the bill. I'd really like to like this vehicle, but that face ruins the whole deal.

King minivan. Welcome to my kingdom.

Yeah, I know where the inspiration came from, looked good, even great on the Furai, but those curves on the 5 2nd gen just look silly. IMO.

No problem getting between the seats — done this in Siennas, Odysseys, Caravans, etc. Totally agree with you on the merits of accessing the back when you're parked. This past Wisconsin winter was the coldest in 30 years and my kid was born right as it started. If my wife wanted to feed him while we're parked, tend

Totally forgot about that. We do the cooler between front seats on long treks as well. Very handy.

Did they have a variation that seats 7? or even 8? I thought it capped out at 6, maybe 7.

The 1st gen Mazda 5 wasn't too bad, but that 2nd gen you've got pictured......ugh.

Anyone who feels they don't need the pass thru probably has 2 kids or less, and doesn't need a minivan at all.

Saw that one, too. That center airbag area is pretty awful. The rest of the vehicle not so bad.

Toyota tried this with their latest Sienna and it bombed. No more 4-cyl after just a couple years. A pity, but the market just isn't there. Agreed on the Rondo, I was really surprised to see how great the Canadian version looks, whereas the (former) US version was inspired by a jelly bean.

Agreed. Chevrolet has that cheezy chrome wheels market covered, nobody else needs it.
