Many groups use Slack, not just workplaces.

Headline is badly written. Generally, if “protest” is the verb in a sentence, the object of the sentence is the thing that the subject is unhappy with. The implication in the headline is that they are upset with Slack... because it has beefed up encryption. What the title intends to say, is that they are demanding

Sure, but I would expect some of them to be. Well, elected ones at least. I don’t really expect judges to be experts in anything but the law but I expect elected officials to be experts in something and for anyone they appoint to be an expert in something relevant to the appointment.

It sure helps with the whole "refusing to eat it because they're scummy" when the food is also bad.

At first I couldn’t log in due to unexplained error. Eventually got in, and there was no indication in the app whether my existing subscription still includes 4k (press release says yes, but the app doesn’t tell you) and there’s no way to actually upgrade subscription tier so that’s... Nice.

Seems unlikely, the Apple App Store is a much tougher approval process.

How hard is it to anticipate the need to turn a burner down earlier? Or just pick up the pot if you make a mistake and it starts to boil over.

I feel like they would get further by focusing on the health issues, and not poking the bear that is environmental politicism. Why invite the climate deniers to oppose you when a simple “this makes most people sick if they drink it” is really the strongest and most easily accepted argument here?

Not to mention how important this is for anyone who wants to take birth control, and is being prevented from doing so by another person. Be that person a parent or guardian, an abusive partner, etc. Many people, especially younger ones, are unable to get a prescription not because a doctor won’t prescribe it, or even

Gosh, how long has it been that we have had these voice assistants and had issues like this? From people on Xbox Live literally turning off the consoles of other players in an online game, to songs canceling alarms... this is a known issue and has been for a long time. You would think they would try something to fix

There is also the fact that (most? all?) of “robot vacuums” are not vacuums. They are basically robotic brooms. Their main purpose isn’t really to deep clean, but to run regularly enough that you avoid getting dirt heavily embedded in your carpet, or big tufts of pet hair clumped up all over.

I think they’re general over sold, but I think your argument has some serious flaws. One of the main advantages is that it runs more often then manually vacuuming. So it may have less capacity, but it doesn’t fill up as easily on account of keeping the floor clean more constantly. Plus, there are models where the dock

You realize that giving permission under duress isn’t actually consent right? If WoTC wanted their stuff back, they have two valid options:
- Send him a letter telling him they will take legal action if he doesn’t return it.
- Send a police officer to get it (potentially with a warrant so they can search for it).
At no

Private investigators are fine. Private thugs you send to someone’s house for a shake down? Not fine. You think he stole those cards? Great, call the cops. Get a warrant.

Even in the worst possible light. Even if we assume this guy broke in someplace and stole those cards... you don’t get to just send thugs to go shake someone down. Not thugs without badges and a warrant at least. There are procedures for this sort of thing, and people who’s job it is (ostensibly) to deal with it. You

Doesn’t matter. They aren’t cops, and they don’t have a warrant. If they want the allegedly stolen property back, they need a judge to sign a warrant and they need someone with a badge to deliver it. We have a big enough problem with police overstepping in this country, we don’t need paid thugs doing it too.

I'm sorry, but the article seems to contradict itself: was this a civil or criminal trial?

Or the issue where Windows never stops "playing" audio to Bluetooth devices, so multi-point headphones refuse to switch to another device, since they think Windows is still making noise. Or worse, if you were connected to another device, and come within range of your PC... It instantly steals the focus.

I’m getting pretty fed up with all the articles about upcoming Windows features. Every site is reporting on every new feature that comes to the insiders build, but there’s no actual useful information like when the feature might come to stable, or it it’s even guaranteed to not get pulled in another build.

How do articles so completely miss the point like this? Warming up the car is about warming up the passenger cabin. Getting oil flowing and the engine ready to go is a happy side effect. I warm up my car when I don't want to be COLD for the first 5-10 minutes of my journey. I'm not micro-managing the wear and tear on
