I would argue that creative minecraft requires more attention than survival. Survival has lots of goals that require little attention. Fighting monsters, mining, exploration. But in creative you don’t need to do any of that. The only thing you do is the thing that requires some thought: building stuff. In survival,

Little sad to see that the one my partner and I registered at for our wedding (2019, the before times) is closing.

Right? The list is terribly organized.

You spelled “finally a good reason to use Bing” in a really weird way.

Okay, what is this article though? Is there anyone who would have an AI write the letter, and then not check over it? The premise of the article is “don’t do this at all” but thd conclusion is “its okay to use it for the part any sane person would consider using it for.”

I was expecting something more like a "reasonable person" standard where a judge wanted to know if a typical person would see something as having a particular meaning, and using the AI as a proxy for what a typical person might think/say.

I think “leave them wanting more” is really all they needed to say. There may have been more good content to show, but I question if the episode would have been received quite as well if it had been much longer.

There really isn’t anything Google should fear mor than ChatGPT. If they don’t beat Microsoft to market with a truly solid AI powered search feature, their search dominance is toast. And I suspect that not only will AI search steal that game, I think it’s going to mean far fewer clicks on those low-effort SEO sinkhole

It doesn’t even do that though. It doesn’t search anything (yet).

Not to mention that it can’t read your mind. Adequately giving it instructions, then evaluating output, then giving modified instructions, is a whole lot of work.

I think it’s more of a matter of contractual obligations than anything else. They are sponsored by DnDBeyond, and have published books with WoTC. They very likely can’t say any more than they have.

It’s an acquired taste, I’ll give you that. I started watching it when I wanted to start DMing, not so much for the show itself, but to learn the game better and see what a skilled DM does. Eventually I was watching it for the characters and the players though. Unlike watching someone else play a video game, the

A fair point, the article probably should have also had a bit about doing your own math and making sure you don’t approve yourself for more than you are capable/comfortable affording.

While I wouldn’t be surprised if they did make it rather expensive, I am highly suspicious of this information. Why? Because it’s $42/mo! Yeah, maybe they did it for the meme, but do you really think that particular number is actual price they plan to charge?

Put that gas line to a better use: backup generator.

Yeah, I live in Ohio and I’m pretty sure I could get away with a heat pump... If only they weren’t so damned hard to find, and so expensive, in the US. It’s a glorified Air Conditioner, but in this country everyone acts like they’re magic.

They’re getting better and better though. Even in low temperatures, they can usually manage above 100% energy efficiency. And even at only 100%, they can produce more heat than a typical plug-in electric heater (those are exactly 100% efficient BTW, but limited to 1500 watts on a normal residential circuit, which is

That's a lot more money than I think you think it is.

Gas furnaces and water heaters are generally much more efficient (they extract closer to 100% of the energy from thr fuel) than stoves, and in a properly insulated home, most of that heat actually does its job, where for a stove... Most of it doesn’t even touch the food.

Except that while yes, the gas range will often heat faster... It does so by completely wasting most of the energy from the burn.
