I think the "games are cheaper" argument has been flawed, since the comparison has been $60 new console games VS older Steam/Humble Bundle sale games.

I absolutely agree that you can get PC games much cheaper if you wait and buy them at sales (though you can also get console games steeply discounted as well if you buy from gamefly, etc).

For everyone telling me that you can build an amazing PC gaming rig that's future-proof for 3-4 years for between $5-600, I'd love to see the specs of your rig.
