This one struck you as… better than Uncle Monty and the Reptile Room? Josephene as a more *human* cartoon character (rather than, say, 3000x more cartoony than any of the other actors were playing it, thus being jarringly and atonally silly?)

I like that Netflix uses just enough self-referential humor to be amusing, without overdoing it. (Similar to one of Fuller House's few good recurring gags, the fourth-wall-breaking entreaties for Mary-Kate and Ashley to come back).
Well said!
Indeed! 'Villains don't get happy endings'- but they can be redeemed. It would be a nice way to tie things together, and a good thematic full-circle with the messages of the first season.
You're talking my total wish fulfillment with this show. I think something like this is why i keep going, hoping that in the end, the finale will bring about something like this for Rumpelstiltskin (and a little long overdue happiness-that-lasts-for-more-than-5-minutes for Regina)…
March? Oh, dang.
Yeah, why would Rumple even *want* the dark curse if that were the case? I guess his ambition really was 'become the king of the world without magic (with magic, because I brought it)' all along and Baelfire was just a hopeful bonus-prize? Yet another insulting ret-con to the character of Rumplestiltzkin…
Me too! But even if he is, he is not Morpheus. Apparently.
"She's been sent to a Land Without SFX!"
Although makes you wonder if his wish was actually *responsible* for bringing Morpheus (as the instigator of Regina getting what she deserved), and thus is his wish manipulated fate to get the Black Fairy to kidnap the child. In which case not only will Belle and Rumple hate him, but he will have the guilt of…
This one was actually pretty good. And kind of exciting that, for once, it looks like we're kind of getting a whole-season storyline, like good 'ol season one. I think that kinda works.
Not that I'm siding with Gold here, as he's been off the rails for a while now (ever since that BS Deus-Ex-Machina potion reformed the Dark One dagger after evil had already been destroyed forever)… but Belle is really full of it in this episode.
I had hoped that, too.
Very frustrating. Especially because they keep resetting his character arc (once after he was revived, and again at the end of the Camelot arc) and then trying to retcon the loss of character growth as 'what's really always been going on with his character.'
Ummmm, wait- so the reviewer is angry that Sara made the right choice not to erase a human being from existence? Not to mention, pragmatically (which no ones brings up when debating whether to END LILY'S LIFE, let's not forget what we're talking about here), the woman key to stopping the Dominator invasion that not…
It's a good thing Kara is so good-natured, because the way they kept talking about her as an alien in this and the Arrow episode really kept coming off as very insulting and speciesist.
Yes, the Medusa virus not affecting humans is absolutely a plot hole. I was waiting for a scene where they explained that Cadmus modified it, but nope… it targets all non-Kryptonians except for humans, because the writers forgot that 'aliens' is a relative term depending on who's using it, not a term universally…
Yeah, the Deus Ex Machina ending was RIDICULOUS.
Absolutely! I particularly love his version of the Superman theme during the pushing-the-moon shot, and the bouncy version of the 'Can You Read My Mind' theme from the subway and 'bought back the Planet' scenes. And the nice, 'desolate horns' version of the opening theme, while lacking some of the majesty and richness…
Agreed!
