I don't have TV of any sort right now, but I do have a HTPC hooked up to a big TV. The only thing I'd want to watch on TV are the Mythbusters and some stuff on the History Channel.

I use LogMeIn Free for remote access. When I'm done, I configure the program so it doesn't start with Windows, and turn it off, severing my own connection. It's very effective, since you have nearly the same control you would have if you were right there. Also, the supportee can take control of the mouse and keyboard

I have a dozen or so computers at my house, and at any given time we had 7 laptops. Only one of them has a Wireless N card in them.

I actually asked the question addressed by "Does 64-Bit Use Double the RAM?" last time the How-to-Geek wrote an article here, though indirectly. This is awesome, and I really hope this becomes a common feature on LH. Thank you How-to-Geek!

Thank you, Mr. Geek! It's so hard to find accurate information about some of these more advanced concepts. You hear so many ideas that are probably false but you can't prove them otherwise without having a degree in computer science. One of my favorite urban legends is that 64 bit OSs take up twice as much RAM because

@baest: That makes sense. :D

How does this justify computer and video games? We might load up a 10 GB game, but we aren't going to see every last byte of that information. Load up Roller Coaster Tycoon, and if you don't build all of the rides and use all of the pieces and see all of the parks and flip all of the options, you didn't consume the

@ReconToaster misses garnett :(: I have to agree. Sure, you can't rent digitally distributed games, but surely we aren't far off from that. I'd argue that PC gamers tend to buy for keeps as opposed to renting a game. I couldn't stand the thought of renting a game like Sins of a Solar Empire, or even the pre-Steam Age

Anybody else find the name "Tucker Windover" an ironic name for a cable wrapping expert?

Sweet! I like PDN. I do have a few gripes with their previous builds, and none of them seem expressly targeted in this release. However, I do really like PDN's focus on efficiency and performance improvements.

I liked the original, and I'm happy to see the "Games for Windows" logo simply because that means it's coming out for the PC. I hadn't seen anything saying it was coming out for PC when I first heard about it, so this makes me happy.
