This issue has little to do with the EGS, to be honest. This is a case of developers harassing consumers, and then being harassed back. We shouldn’t excuse or condone either side. However, it is likely being spun into a story of blind EGS hatred, with a lack of coverage of the developer’s statements, possibly because

It makes you consider their integrity. If Epic has been paying millions for exclusivity, how much money do you think has spent on favorable articles from these "journalists"?

These devs are bullshit though, and fueled a fuck ton of this through being total asses(at least the dude) on their discord. No reporting on how the dude just basically shit on anyone who disagreed with their decision civil or otherwise? Also being condescending as fuck in the initial announcement. Hopefully they’ll

They took the Epic exclusivity bribe, they get the online yelling.

No mention of this?

Well that was a huge spoiler... Now I’m going to play the whole game with the knowledge of what waits at the end. Hopefully you just went down one path and there are other ways to go down. Still getting the game because it sounds awesome but that statement definitely took a lot of the tension out of the conflict for

“By the time the game is finished, only one of these teenagers will be left. The other two will be dead.”

What a spectacular spoiler right at the beginning of the review.

Ya this review is crazy with the spoilers. I can't believe they actually published this trash

Can we not spoil the ending of the game please, like what the actual fuck? There is a major spoiler leading the second paragraph. You need to remedy this quick. I feel bad for any unsuspecting people reading this review just to be met with that slap in the face.

Same feeling.  Guess I will never read a Kotaku review again if the feel this is appropriate.

Nope, this is a full blown spoiler and I am sorry for anyone who accidentally read this travesty. This needs to be edited out.

This article should've been flagged with a Spoiler Warning. There are things in this article that have not are not known to the casual fan looking at news about the game, and that were just thrown in there with little regard of keeping some of the plot elemenets intact for players excited for the story.

Id say that this is a huge spoiler.

By the time the game is finished, only one of these teenagers will be left. The other two will be dead. Which one survives relies on your player character, who is named Byleth by default.”

Could you please include a spoiler warning or something? This is the lead in for the SECOND PARAGRAPH in your review.

Could have lived without those end game spoilers in the first few paragraphs.
=*(

Maybe a “Spoiler Warning” is needed at the top of this article? Feels like the first sentence of that second paragraph is a huge story spoiler.

Aabsolutely seething at this review. I always read kotaku reviews because they avoid spoilers or post spoiler warnings. At the start of the review you wrote, “By the time the game is finished...”
