“Sucks? Why?”
It’s more about the form factor than the internals. A 15" PowerBook filled exactly the same spot in the product lineup as a 15" MacBook Pro. Removing the Air leaves the ultralight product category completely empty. That’s why it’s different.
No, I’m not. Removing the Air is removing an entire class of notebook design from their line (the “ultralight”). The PowerBook to MacBook shift was just a CPU change and renaming the line for marketing purposes since the PowerPC was no longer in the machine.
Taiwan is also officially recognized by the vast majority of the rest of the world to be part of China, so as not to piss off China. It sucks, but it is what it is.

The only King thing I have that I think is pretty cool is the Richard Bachman edition of Thinner, which I managed to get the day that the news broke that King was Bachman. I’d be pretty upset if that got ruined, so I can’t even imagine what losing one of a kind manuscripts would do.

I’ll assume that Intel will be sending a replacement, amirite?
Not only that, they may know for a fact that their client is guilty, but they still have a legal and ethical requirement to mount a vigorous defense.
“Suicide by cop” is a thing.
And the cop in the Shaver case was acquitted, so this one has nothing to worry about. There is a long set of precedent that cops can legally shoot people who drop their hands.
“There are rules, regulations, and training programs that pertain to trigger discipline.”
I don’t have to pray. By the time I retire, my investments will have already been shifted almost entirely into vehicles which are designed to protect the principal and generate a lower rate of return than the stock market. Only a small percentage of the portfolio should be in anything which could be adversely affected…

Seems to me that this was just a calculated strategy to try and save the business by making it appear to be under new ownership, when it really isn’t.
