I was in India several times in the late 90s, when they experienced a pretty fair heat wave of around 116F. Having lived in the CA desert for a few years, I have experienced 120+F, but with very low humidity, and it’s really not that bad. Dealing with 116F and 90+% humidity in Chennai? That was hell on earth.
