“standardizing the way Americans can acquire these skills”

If I received a phone call with Bea Arthur’s pissed off man-voice on the other end, I’d backtrack on everything I said, too.

Wow, man, you’re in for so much rage from the Jezebel crowd for fat shaming...

Well, I was speaking generally of “rich people”, not specifically those who choose to spend their money on exotic cars. It’s entirely possible that the ones who buy exotic cars represent a subgroup of “rich people” that has a higher concentration of douchebags. My experience with the guys I know who range in net worth

I would even go so far as to say that *most* of them are down to earth, but especially the ones who didn’t start out rich from birth. I know a handful.

Simon Cowell definitely drove his Veyron around town/to the studio, etc. He was pictured in it on the street a lot.

Esports can’t have it both ways. If you want to be considered a “real” professional sport, that means your broadcasts have to be acceptable under the same sort of content restrictions as any other professional sport (football, baseball, basketball, soccer, hockey, etc). If you want to be mentioned in the same breath

As someone who supported my company’s presence at MWC (and it’s predecessor 3GSM, when it was based in Cannes) for around a decade, it’s definitely an experience that has to be seen to be believed.

This could also have been “suicide by cop”, and he deliberately went at the cops in order to get them to kill him.

Maybe they should start with complaining about the actual hiring practices of pharmaceutical companies, who are well known for almost exclusively hiring good looking women as their outside sales reps, specifically because they tend to gain easier access to the male-dominated medical profession, and thus show higher

Meh. I do that 18 times in a row. - Kim Jong-Il

Best. Comment. Ever.

Soylent Green

All that work to create the beauty of a 70mm film, ruined by projecting it through that dirty-ass window.

That’s what I said...

No, we didn’t. We had a broken nuclear power plant that wasn’t worth the expense to fix. The replacement pipe infrastructure that was failing (due to a design flaw) was the cause.

“Building devices on a 14nm process isn’t something that Qualcomm or its traditional manufacturing partner TSMC can do”

Just because TSMC (or whoever) manufactures the silicon, doesn’t mean that chips from different fabless semiconductor designers are the same. ARM licences a reference architecture which you can then tweak/extend/customize to provide the features and performance that you want for your chip design.
