The point is, the writer said "by comparison" when they weren't actually comparing the same statistic. If he'd said "By comparison, the population of US prisons increased by X% over the same period" it would have made sense. As it is, it's kind of a nonsequitor.

These numbers are not comparing the same things...

Nobody has perfectly unblemished skin on 100% of their body. Nobody. But porn in SD (or even 1080) can make it look that way with the right makeup talent. I'm not so sure they can at 4k.

One of the complaints against porn which I've heard over the years was that it creates such a perfect fantasyland that real life can't measure up to it, and thus it causes damage to men in the form of making real life sex somehow "less" than the perfect, blemish-free porn available to them.
