Yeah, that’s a really knee-jerk reaction and a way to ruin the sorta happy ending of the story. Nintendo could have just commented on the impossibility of repairing the handheld and be done with it but they still managed to send a brand new replacement which is the point of the story.

Exactly. It’s a nice IDEA, but a 95 year old is probably not going want to get used to brand new hardware.

Right?  The lady clearly liked her Game Boy, or I’m sure someone in her family would have gotten her something else.

Right? Also, don’t get me started on the fact that if she got the Game Boy at 95, and used it for 4 years when she died at 99, that would mean giving her a Switch was impossible, as it’s only been out since 2017 (3 years). This is like, 2nd grade “Paul had 10 watermelons” story problem math. It’s not that hard.

When you’ve got a loyal customer that’s already been through three copies of your product, it might be time to give them a free upgrade.

How did no one at Tiger not come up with the idea to just redo all their games in a smartphone app and sell them for a dollar each? Seems like a better, cheaper, more potentially successful idea on every level.

There’s a difference between pointing out a mistake and acting superior.

Funny, I’d thought Celebi would have been more appropriate for Oak.

came here for deku, im satisfied.

If you are unable to handle this one stupid ass task of opening up your boarding pass on your phone then you have far bigger issues to take care of first. No one liked your status of being in the airport in the moments you were waiting to board anyway.

Umm that doesn’t happen unless you’re super dumb. Not everyone struggles with tech. Disposable paper isn’t a better option.

There are 12 now: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

I’m guessing this is how it went at Nintendo:

I have to say that I reflexively shuddered at this part:

Actually sounds dumb as hell to me. And Leia skeptical of Ben being brought back into the light? Nope. No mother would think their son was irredeemable no matter what, unless they were a piece of shit, and Leia’s not a piece of shit.

“It’s dumb that they just brought back Palps after not mentioning him in either of the previous movies. Like we’re supposed to believe that he was like just off-screen the entire time.

Parts of it sound cool, but I see a lot in the script that would enrage people regardless. And I don’t mean just the SW diehards that hated TLJ.

I have it in good authority that no kids read Kotaku, they are all really 1000 year old dragons/demons.
