Isn't this indicative of the major underlying issue with UFC/MMA though? Namely that the vast majority of fans don't really care about the fights, they care about the drama? That it's more about the promotional side, the storyline, than a sporting contest that's almost an afterthought?

Ill ask you a question: Was anyone going to be more interested in this fight because of this one week of promotion, months before the actual fight, on the other side of the world?
