I think Star Ocean 2 might be my favorite game of all time. Either that or Majora's Mask or Final Fantasy IX. I was like 6 or 7 when I first played it, and I still play it from time to time (sadly, it seems way smaller in scope now than it did when I was a kid).

Yup, you summed it up pretty good. At the start of the game, I thought you'd get more freedom as you kept playing, but it was almost the opposite of that, the game got more linear as you progressed.

Bioshock Infinite especially. Bioshock Infinite was average as a shooter, but the story alone makes it a good game. I think I'd like the first two games without the story, but I wouldn't love them like I did. Bioshock 1 & 2 for 5 bucks is still the best video game deal I've ever stumbled upon.

Well, I, for example, find a TV show like Breaking Bad to be overrated in comparison to The Wire, The Sopranos and True Detective, and that's a show that's generally seen as a masterpiece and I just attribute that to me preferring other things in a TV show than other people.
