Whoever plays Jareth is going to have to be strong. Toby’s a lot bigger now.
It seems like Gaga would play some sort of balls-out insane fairy godmother ally to the protagonist. Like she might turn up on some sort of Goth-Muppet dragon motorcycle or something.
Or just have Swinton play Jareth.
I really don’t see the point of a Labyrinth sequel without Bowie.
Yeah it boils down very much to testability, and how EP figures evolution and which assumptions they run with. Essentially the field starts from modern, often culture bound features. Assumes they must be rooted in the past and universal, and works backwards from there.
There are multiple issues with Kinja as a commenting platform but one is that I can’t tell it to ignore comments from troll users. So trolls can come to earnest and good articles with bad faith arguments, throw those arguments everywhere, and then engage in further trolling with the commenters (or staff, in this…
Right. She’s essentially stating that, in terms of falsification, that a lot of evolutionary psychology claims are not scientific. It’s a totally valid conclusion and I look forward to seeing people discuss her paper in reasonable ways.
She’s not really saying that no behaviors are hardwired, only there is no way to match those behaviors to past ones to adequately determine they are in fact, evolutionary behaviors. I think sure, some behavior has to have an evolutionary beginning, but know for sure? Gonna be super hard to do without a team of time…

Not all of it, of course, but she’s perfectly correct in saying that there’s a great deal of justifying of bad behaviour based upon…
If you’re not already following the Duncan Trussell Family Hour Podcast -- which was the source for many of the interviews in Midnight Gospel -- now’s definitely the time. One of the most eclectic, fun, and mind expanding podcasts around.
Bahahahahhaha. I love how close she comes in that interview to telling the truth: “I shelved the book because even I know it’s terrible, but people might finally be bored enough to read the fucking thing.”
I appreciate that Stephenie Meyer looked at 2020 and realized that she too wanted to help make this year a really bad year.
I support Victoria for speaking her mind, but I cannot support this take.
Dark mode is where it’s at.
(prays to Beebo) “Dear lord, please have the LoT post production crew the ability to safely complete the season from home. Praise be thy name.”
I’m a big fan of the music of Thievery Corporation when I want to chill out.
Anyone else feel like this week was especially...you know. After over a month of social distancing with not much of…
But if they’re going The Lion King route, buckle up buttercup.
I hope these popped up because Weta is working on 4K remasters of all the movies. Please. Please.
