WiFi is not, and probably will never be, as fast as a cabled connection.  You’ll definitely want to keep the cable for a NAS, too.  I’m not sure if you realize how much slower WiFi is compared to a gigabit (or 10 gig!) ethernet connection. 

Just to add, the 1st and 2nd seasons have a different feel. The first being a bit more philosophical and musing where as the second is a little more thriller action.
