I bought one for $170 a few months back. It needed a laundry list of things done to it, but once you got it going it was one of the most solid feelings vehicles I’ve driven. Had to let it go
My piston on my uniwiper would always seize up at the worst times. Always kept a can of WD-40 in the trunk. One time it got so bad that the wiper stalk got hot and started smoking.

In the long run the v8 explorer was worth it, since it didn’t suffer the problems that the 4.0 explorers had, as well as having a more solid transmission.
NY inspection is one of the few reasons why I’m glad I live in CT (that’s not saying much). Anything older than 25 doesn’t need anything but reg. and insurance
