This morning, I heard a BBC interview with the editor of the Pakistan Observer. He claimed that Malala Yousafzai is a "tool of the West" and just "a normal, useless girl" who obviously is a puppet for her father or another man.

I think what shocks me the most about this is that she can hold court with Islamophobic assholes and then have the gall to play friendly with Hoda.
I don't know Hoda's religion, but given that 95% of the country is Muslim and her parents both migrated from there, I assume Hoda has a strong connection to the faith.
Yup. I think this and the one above it is insanely adorable and creative - a cute 'eff you to all the girls who take prom waaaay too seriously and turn it into a mini-wedding ("it will be the second-most romantic evening of your entire life!").
Fellow XXer, you mean?
I have a love/hate relationship with movie - still sorting out my feelings on it, but it definitely had moments of progress intertwined with the promotion of sexist notions.
But that's awkward too.
