My dad drove (up until last summer) a beater Prizm. Going down a dirt road, the hood latch popped, the hood flew up, broke the hinges, and sailed (luckily) over the car. He brought the hood back to the car, popped some holes in the body and hood with a hammer and nail, and wired the hood to the body at all four
