It’s unfortunate, but pretty much all sales tactics are dark patterns.  “Limited time offer” or “qualities extremely limited” or “government chartered”.  There’s so much bullshit on the internet these days that even the most careful customer is going to get fatigued.

I firmly believe the original Matrix was a complete fluke for the Wachowskis, a miracle created with stars aligning in their favor.  Nothing they created afterwards resembled anything good in quality or coherent in storytelling.
